The Seeds of Insight

The merger that formed Insight was not just a business transaction but a fusion of expertise, values, and aspirations. Health Monitor Company brought its renowned healthcare analytics, CareGauge’s innovative risk management, and Lighthouse’s niche acumen to the table. Together, they created a new entity poised to redefine the consulting industry.

“We saw an opportunity to combine our strengths and create something truly unique,” says Barry Childs, one of the co-founders. “Our goal was to harness the power of data and analytics to solve complex problems, not just in healthcare, but across various industries.”

From its inception, Insight has been more than just a consultancy. It has been a changemaker, a company that pushes boundaries and challenges the status quo. Over the past decade, Insight’s drive for impact has set the standard, delivering innovative solutions that have left a lasting impact on clients across the globe.

Insight with Impact: A Decade of Achievements

The company has continuously evolved, expanding its services and capabilities to meet the changing needs of its clients. From healthcare to life insurance to retail, Insight has leveraged its professional and analytical prowess to provide trusted, effective advice and client support.

  • Life Solutions: Insight’s Life Solutions team has become a trusted partner for life insurers, offering actuarial consulting services underpinned by curiosity and a deep understanding of industry challenges. “We believe in the power of asking the right questions,” says Christoff Raath, co-founder of Insight. “Our approach is always to dig deeper, to understand the root causes of problems, and to develop effective and sustainable solutions.”
  • Healthcare: Insight’s wide-ranging capabilities in healthcare provide a toolkit for almost any challenge, setting the market standard for data management, analytics and actuarial and clinical advice.

Expanding Horizons

As Insight grew, so did its ambitions. Insight Australia realised the dream of taking Insight international and is now the leading platform for collecting and publishing quality data in Australia’s healthcare system, among other services.

Insight’s Advisory Solutions division has taken its healthcare expertise to employers seeking advice on optimising their medical aid spend and supporting employers and employees in that complex marketplace.

Insight’s commitment to fostering a diverse and dynamic team is one key factor behind its success. “We are a diverse group of passionate, energetic, and talented individuals,” says Childs. The scale and scope of our team allow us to build fine-tuned project teams to meet our client’s specific needs, offering a truly bespoke service.”

A Vision for the Future

As Insight celebrated its 10th anniversary, it looks forward to a future filled with promise and potential. The team is committed to expanding its capabilities to new lines of consulting and markets while continuing to invest and reinvent current capabilities.

“We have built a market-leading consultancy that solves our clients’ challenges and also helps them seize opportunities for future growth,” says Raath. “Our commitment to professionalism, integrity, and high-quality work will continue to guide us as we navigate the next decade.”

At the heart of Insight’s continued success is its belief in the power of data and analytics to drive meaningful change. As the company moves forward, it remains committed to its founding principles, determined to make an even greater impact in the years to come.
